Johanna is a highly dedicated and goal-driven New Jersey Makeup Artist with over a decade of professional experience. Inspired by the fashion and culture diversification surrounding her, Johanna has cultivated an extensive background within the beauty industry and has fostered the necessary skills to not only meet client expectations, but exceed them every time.
Born and raised in Bronx, New York, Johanna always admired cosmetics and discovered early on that she had a keen talent for it. Starting out doing makeup for free, her artistic abilities became exceptionally recognized amongst others, which quickly positioned her to become a sought-out person to do makeup for special occasions. Due to this, Johanna began officially taking on clients in 2011 and later obtained her professional makeup artist certificate from The School of Makeup Effects in 2016. Fast forward to today, Johanna, has supported countless weddings, proms, professional headshots, and photoshoots, and her portfolio only continues to grow.
In the end, nothing makes Johanna happier than being a valuable resource to help others look and feel their best. Whether it be photography or special event makeup, she has a true ardency for her career, understands how to leverage the best facial structure strengths, and has a deeply rooted appreciation for the beauty industry as a whole. This, in conjunction with her experiences and underlying mission to raise the standards bar, can give you the solidifying confidence that your makeup needs are in the best possible hands to leave lasting impressions.
Johanna loves what she does and continuously seeks learning opportunities to advance herself in the ever-evolving industry. In fact, her future objectives are to collaborate with other makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers, agencies, and production companies who share the same passion to imprint positive marks in the industry. However, when she is not working or developing as an artist, you can often find her reading, dancing, cooking, and home decorating.
